Goods Ready Date: Everything You Need to Know

Your Goods Ready Date, sometimes called the Cargo Ready Date, is basically the day your goods should be ready to ship.
If you’re shipping from a factory, your supplier decides when the goods are made, packed, and set to go. Shipping from a port? That date marks when your goods move to
AEB Logistics for the international part of the journey.
You don’t need to know your Goods Ready Date with absolute certainty when you ask AEB Logistics for a
quote. It’s just a ballpark figure so AEB Logistics can get a sense of the timing.
After you book the shipment, we’ll check in with you and your supplier to settle on the actual date.
We usually suggest booking AEB Logistics about 7-10 days before your estimated cargo ready date. That way, we’ve got time to line up the next available sailing and pick up your cargo as soon as it’s ready.
Heads up: Every quote comes with an expiration date. If your cargo gets picked up after that, AEB Logistics might have to re-quote your shipment at the current rates.
